Bringing in volunteers from local nonprofits to clean the downtown sidewalks and spaces each week, then providing their chosen nonprofit with a donation to strengthen the missions that contribute to our community's well-being.
Hiring a seasonal Clean and Safe Coordinator from May to September. This dedicated staff member will serve as a downtown ambassador, maintaining a friendly and welcoming presence, helping our downtown visitors with questions, and providing you with a single point of contact for safety concerns.
Creating and managing a volunteer group of Downtown Ambassadors to assist the Clean and Safe Coordinator in ensuring downtown Chelan is welcoming, inclusive, clean, and safe.
